15 being started with an absolute path.

18 [session.c]
19 correct boolean encoding for coredump; der Mouse via dugsong
c9e2b157 20
fbfeb0de 2120080302
22 - (dtucker) [configure.ac] FreeBSD's glob() doesn't behave the way we expect
23 either, so use our own.
24
6ce84f4f 2520080229
26 - (dtucker) [openbsd-compat/bsd-poll.c] We don't check for select(2) in
27 configure (and there's not much point, as openssh won't work without it)
28 so HAVE_SELECT is not defined and the poll(2) compat code doesn't get
29 built in. Remove HAVE_SELECT so we can build on platforms without poll.
55b82b39 30 - (dtucker) [scp.c] Include sys/poll.h inside HAVE_SYS_POLL_H.
29317db4 31 - (djm) [contrib/gnome-ssh-askpass2.h] Keep askpass windown on top. From
32 Debian patch via bernd AT openbsd.org

35 - (dtucker) [configure.ac] Add -fstack-protector to LDFLAGS too, fixes
36 linking problems on AIX with gcc 4.1.x.
f5f25d17 37 - (dtucker) [includes.h ssh-add.c ssh-agent.c ssh-keygen.c ssh.c sshd.c
38 openbsd-compat/openssl-compat.{c,h}] Bug #1437 Move the OpenSSL compat
39 header to after OpenSSL headers, since some versions of OpenSSL have
40 SSLeay_add_all_algorithms as a macro already.
6e013118 41 - (dtucker) [key.c defines.h openbsd-compat/openssl-compat.h] Move old OpenSSL
42 compat glue into openssl-compat.h.
533a78f0 43 - (dtucker) [configure.ac openbsd-compat/port-aix.{c,h}] Bug #1081: Implement
44 getgrouplist via getgrset on AIX, rather than iterating over getgrent.
45 This allows, eg, Match and AllowGroups directives to work with NIS and
46 LDAP groups.
5c7fd4ce 47 - (dtucker) [sshd.c] Bug #1042: make log messages for tcpwrappers use the
48 same SyslogFacility as the rest of sshd. Patch from William Knox,
49 ok djm@.
ebddd492 50
2db5d1e9 5120080225
52 - (dtucker) [openbsd-compat/fake-rfc2553.h] rename ssh_gai_strerror hack
53 since it now conflicts with the helper function in misc.c. From
54 vinschen AT redhat.com.
a74e9b64 55 - (dtucker) [configure.ac audit-bsm.c] Bug #1420: Add a local implementation
56 of aug_get_machine for systems that don't have their own (eg OS X, FreeBSD).
57 Help and testing from csjp at FreeBSD org, vgiffin at apple com. ok djm@
3e35bb36 58 - (dtucker) [includes.h openbsd-compat/openssl-compat.c] Bug #1437: reshuffle
59 headers so ./configure --with-ssl-engine actually works. Patch from
60 Ian Lister.

63 - (tim) [contrib/cygwin/ssh-host-config]

65 Check more thoroughly that it's possible to create the /var/empty directory.

71 [sftp-client.c sftp-client.h]
72 disable unused functions
73 initially from tobias@, but disabled them by placing them in
74 "#ifdef notyet" which was asked by djm@
75 ok djm@ tobias@
05841f5b 76 - djm@cvs.openbsd.org 2008/01/19 19:13:28
77 [ssh.1]
78 satisfy the pedants: -q does not suppress all diagnostic messages (e.g.
79 some commandline parsing warnings go unconditionally to stdout).
4d6760a7 80 - djm@cvs.openbsd.org 2008/01/19 20:48:53
81 [clientloop.c]
82 fd leak on session multiplexing error path. Report and patch from
83 gregory_shively AT fanniemae.com
7cd4e5bc 84 - djm@cvs.openbsd.org 2008/01/19 20:51:26
85 [ssh.c]
86 ignore SIGPIPE in multiplex client mode - we can receive this if the
87 server runs out of fds on us midway. Report and patch from
88 gregory_shively AT fanniemae.com
1c861236 89 - djm@cvs.openbsd.org 2008/01/19 22:04:57
90 [sftp-client.c]
91 fix remote handle leak in do_download() local file open error path;
92 report and fix from sworley AT chkno.net
ccc6beea 93 - djm@cvs.openbsd.org 2008/01/19 22:22:58
94 [ssh-keygen.c]
95 when hashing individual hosts (ssh-keygen -Hf hostname), make sure we
96 hash just the specified hostname and not the entire hostspec from the
97 keyfile. It may be of the form "hostname, ipaddr", which would lead to
98 a hash that never matches. report and fix from jp AT devnull.cz
f8f89bae 99 - djm@cvs.openbsd.org 2008/01/19 22:37:19
100 [ssh-keygen.c]
101 unbreak line numbering (broken in revision 1.164), fix error message
bc4cc956 102 - djm@cvs.openbsd.org 2008/01/19 23:02:40
103 [channels.c]
104 When we added support for specified bind addresses for port forwards, we
105 added a quirk SSH_OLD_FORWARD_ADDR. There is a bug in our handling of
106 this for -L port forwards that causes the client to listen on both v4
107 and v6 addresses when connected to a server with this quirk, despite
108 having set 0.0.0.0 as a bind_address.
109 report and patch from Jan.Pechanec AT Sun.COM; ok dtucker@
fe771396 110 - djm@cvs.openbsd.org 2008/01/19 23:09:49

113 of 2^32; report and patch from Jan.Pechanec AT Sun.COM, ok dtucker@
70755b3b 114 - djm@cvs.openbsd.org 2008/01/20 00:38:30
115 [sftp.c]
116 When uploading, correctly handle the case of an unquoted filename with
117 glob metacharacters that match a file exactly but not as a glob, e.g. a
118 file called "[abcd]". report and test cases from duncan2nd AT gmx.de
b4bbe43c 119 - djm@cvs.openbsd.org 2008/01/21 17:24:30
120 [sftp-server.c]

122 as we have available file descriptors. Patch from miklos AT szeredi.hu;

129 [clientloop.c packet.c serverloop.c]
130 Revert the change for bz #1307 as it causes connection aborts if an IGNORE
131 packet arrives while we're waiting in packet_read_expect (and possibly
132 elsewhere).
51402e76 133 - jmc@cvs.openbsd.org 2008/01/31 20:06:50

170 When in inetd mode, have sshd generate a Protocol 1 ephemeral server
171 key only for connections where the client chooses Protocol 1 as opposed
172 to when it's enabled in the server's config. Speeds up Protocol 2

377 Performing certain operations on queue.h data structurs produced
378 funny results. An example is calling LIST_REMOVE on the same
379 element twice. This will not fail, but result in a data structure

381 fields on remove and replace. This way, either a panic or segfault

1980 length writes this rarely matters, but occasionally it happens, and when

3231 Add support for tun(4) forwarding over OpenSSH, based on an idea and
3232 initial channel code bits by markus@. This is a simple and easy way to
3233 use OpenSSH for ad hoc virtual private network connections, e.g.
3234 administrative tunnels or secure wireless access. It's based on a new
3235 ssh channel and works similar to the existing TCP forwarding support,
3236 except that it depends on the tun(4) network interface on both ends of
3237 the connection for layer 2 or layer 3 tunneling. This diff also adds
3238 support for LocalCommand in the ssh(1) client.
