   4 mailmaint \- maintain mailing lists for a user

   9 allows a user to examine public mailing lists and add or
  10 remove him/herself from such lists.  It does this using Moira, the Athena
  11 Service Management System.

  13 When started, it will display a menu with the following options:

  16 1. Show all mailing lists.
  17 2. Get all members of a mailing list.
  18 3. Display lists of which you are a member.
  19 4. Show description of list.
  20 5. Add yourself to a mailing list.
  21 6. Delete yourself from a mailing list.

  25 The first option will display all mailing lists that are not
  26 explicitly hidden.  The second option will display the members of a
  27 named list.  The third will display the names of the lists you belong
  28 to.  The next option will give a description of any list that you
  29 name.

  31 The next two options allow you to add or delete yourself to or from
  32 public mailing lists.  If the person creating a mailing list has not
  33 made it public, you will not be allowed to change it.  Even if it is
  34 public, you can only add or delete yourself, you cannot affect the
  35 others on the list.  For other list operations (which are only allowed

  38 .SH MENU OPERATION
  39 Each of the menus presented works in the same way:  A list of possible
  40 choices is presented, each preceded by a number.  The title of the
  41 function is displayed at the top of the screen, centered, and the
  42 current choice is highlighted.  To make a choice, press the number of
  43 the choice, which will then be highlighted.  To confirm this
  44 choice, press the return key.

  46 There will usually be a
  47 .I Quit
  48 option and a
  49 .I Return to previous level
  50 option available in each menu.  The exception to this is during mailing
  51 list creation; a type for the list must be selected from a menu.
  52 Typing the interrupt character (normally CTRL-C) or the return key
  53 during a database access or while being prompted for a menu
  54 selection will act the same as a
  55 .I Quit.
  56 Typing the interrupt character
  57 during a text input will cancel the operation and return to
  58 the most recent menu.

  60 If information is needed that cannot be entered via a menu (e.g. a
  61 description of the mailing list's purpose and/or use), the user will be
  62 prompted for such information.
