The GSI-OpenSSH development team announces the release of version 3.1 of
the GSI-Enabled OpenSSH software distribution. GSI-OpenSSH 3.1 is based
on OpenSSH 3.8p1 and NCSA's latest GSI patch for that version of
OpenSSH. A summary of the major changes found in this version is given
at the end of this document.

New features
* Moved to OpenSSH 3.8p1 codebase, including support for new
'gssapi-with-mic' authentication method. Compatibility with
the older 'gssapi' authentication method is retained.
* Updated GPT packaging for Globus Toolkit 3.2 beta
compatibility.
Bugs fixed
* Fixed bug in GSI code for handling case when PAM support is
built in but 'UsePam yes' is not set in the sshd_config file.
* Fixed shell syntax error in configure script.
